Acibadem - Turkey

The Acıbadem Hospitals Group, whose first hospital was established in 1991, is Turkey’s most valuable private healthcare organization according to brand assessment results and the position the group has achieved in the sector. Joint Commision International (JCI) Accreditation

 

Acıbadem Hospitals Group is grounded on Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation standards to strengthen its quality improvement and patient safety approach.

 

JCI is an independent international accreditation institution that establishes and inspects quality standards in health services. It is an internationally accepted evaluation model with the highest recognition. It aims to develop the concepts of quality improvement and patient safety and to increase the efficiency of health care services, and provides objective evaluation instruments for this purpose. Across the world, more than 600 health institutions in 51 countries have JCI accreditation. Acıbadem Hospitals Group complies with the JCI accreditation standards. Many of its hospitals have successfully passed the accreditation and re-accreditation inspections since 2005. Today, Acıbadem Maslak, Acıbadem Fulya and Acıbadem Adana Hospitals maintain the JCI accreditation within the Group.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The JCI standards are addressed to patient safety, access to care and continuity of care, patient and family rights, patient assessment and care, anesthesia and surgical care, medication use and patient and family education under the title of patient-centered standards. Within the scope of the organization-centered standards, the subjects of prevention and control of infections, governance, leadership, facility safety, staff education and information management are evaluated.

Medical Laboratories

 

All units of Acıbadem laboratories have been accredited by Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle Chemie (DACH) since 2005 and by Türk Akreditasyon Kurumu (TÜRKAK) since 2010 in accordance with the TSE EN ISO 15189. Accreditation of the laboratories is recognized by all countries which are members of ILAC, since TÜRKAK is a party to International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation’s (ILAC) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA).

 

Nuclear Medicine Europe Accreditation

 

In Europe, the Nuclear Medicine Centers are accredited by the European Board of Nuclear Medicine (EBNM) under European Union of Medical Specialists. Nuclear Medicine Departments of Acıbadem Kadıköy Hospital, Acıbadem Bakırköy Hospital, Acıbadem Kozyatağı Hospital, Acıbadem Bursa Hospital ve Acıbadem International Hospital also have ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certificate in addition to this accreditation.

 

Hospital Service Quality Standards

 

Acıbadem Hospitals Group complies with the Hospital Service Quality Standards established to provide uniformity in service standardization, form a basis for inter-institutional experience sharing and build national quality system in health, without differentiating between public, private or university health institutions.
